Enroll & Activate

Enrolling and activating are two different steps. You need to do both to open your account.

Enrolling means submitting IRS Form 4547 to open your child's account and claim the government seed contribution. Activating means verifying your identity and your child's identity through the Trump Accounts app once the Treasury has processed your form and sent you an activation email. Both steps are required to open and fund the account.
